עופר איתן Said: Cello group brings digital specialist Signal into the Leith…

Edinburgh-based digital marketing team Signal is to become part of the Leith agency under a consolidation by parent company Cello.

The move means 31 staff will move to the Leith business, including chief technology officer Ben Ausden, client services director Leigh Dobson and media technology lead Andrew Girdwood, creatig an enlarged agency of 110 people.

Signal will add to Leith’s digital services and bring clients including RBS and the Scottish Government. Both agencies will continue to be based in Commercial Quay, Edinburgh, and will now be managed by the Leith board.

Leith group managing partner Richard Marsham, who becomes CEO of the new entity said: “We’ve extended our digital services significantly over the last decade with strategic hires and organic growth. This move is a natural coming together and will help accelerate that growth and will bring us greater strength in depth across Software Development, Digital Design, SEO and Social Media Strategy.”

Ben Ausden, chief technology officer: “It’s an easy and positive move to Leith. We share offices and some support services already and we have a great many shared clients. Given Leith’s existing digital capability there’s a very real risk that we’re competing for the same tasks. This move means we can focus on building a single, strong creative & digital agency brand.”
