9 de febrero de 2020, 10:29Vatican City, Feb 9 (Prensa Latina) Pope Francis said here today that human trafficking is a plague that exploits the weakest and called to eliminate it with everyone’s commitment.
After concluding the traditional Sunday prayer in St. Peter’s Square, the pontiff referred to the celebration, the eve, of the World Day of Prayer and Reflection against Trafficking of Persons, for whose eradication, he said, ‘the commitment of all is necessary, of institutions, associations and educational agencies.
On the prevention front, he said, it allows me to point out how different investigations state that criminal organizations use increasingly modern means of communication to seduce victims through deception.
In that sense, Francisco warned about the need to, on the one hand, educate in the healthy use of technological means and, on the other, monitor and claim responsibility to the providers of these telematic services.
