8 de febrero de 2020, 11:38Beijing, Feb 8 (Prensa Latina) The second hospital built in a few days in Wuhan (central China) admitted on Saturday its first cases of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV, thus relieving the pressure on other institutions in the city caused by the epidemic.
According to CGTN channel, it is a group of 70 people transferred from other hospitals, they were mild cases and none required assistance nor stretchers to enter the place.
The Leishenshan has the capacity to isolate and treat 1,500 patients, and its staff is made up of two thousand doctors and other health workers.
It covers an area of 28 square hectares and is divided into 32 health care areas, two of them for critical cases and three for mild ones.
On Monday, Wuhan opened another similar center set up in record time and his first patients arrived in wheelchairs and stretchers.
This sanatorium has a thousand beds, operated by 400 thousand military and specialists in the outbreaks of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Ebola.
Apart from the two specialized hospitals, during the week, public places such as stadiums, gyms and fairgrounds were prepared for emergency services, patients with mild symptoms and clinical examinations.
In Wuhan, the epidemic broke out and remains focused with a steady increase in deaths and contagions, which has led to the mobilization of more than 11 thousand doctors throughout the country, and sending of large batches of supplies, medicines and finances.
